2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer Focus: In almost every letter, Paul begins with a version of this greeting. It is actually a combination of the traditional Greek greeting, charis which we translate as “grace” and the traditional Hebrew greeting, shalom, which we translate as “peace.” This is why we typically begin our worship services at Unity with one of your pastors sharing this greeting with you. Pray that you might share this greeting of grace and peace with everyone you meet today. Perhaps you won’t use those exact words but may the words you speak lift up these gifts from the Lord.
