Sunday Mornings

Sunday Mornings

With a dedicated staff and team of amazing volunteers, we provide many opportunities for children of all ages to worship with us on Sundays. From nursery to Sunday School and Children in Worship, we have programming for every child.

Nursery: Infant through 4 years old

Our nursery provides a safe and loving environment for young children while their parents participate in Worship, Sunday School, and select events. We provide nursery during both worship services and during Sunday school. Consistency is important for children – we have talented and loving paid Nursery Caregivers present every Sunday who have collectively faithfully served Unity’s children for over 50 years!

Sunday School: K-5th Grade

Children in K-5th grade are invited to Sunday school at 9:45 am in Room M208. Each month this year, we will focus on a different spiritual practice (See list below). The lessons are written for multi-aged children and will engage this broad age range. As the number of children attending Sunday school increases, we will divide ages accordingly into different classes. Get back to Sunday school or start a new practice today. Safe Place trained adult volunteers are needed for children’s Sunday school. Contact Kathryn McGregor at KMcGregor@UnityFortMill.org or 803-547-5543 for more information.

November: Living in Community
December: Hope
January: Confess
February: Practice Joy
March/April (Lent): Practice Spiritual Disciplines
April: Practice Generosity
May: Baptize

No registration is needed for Sunday school. Come join the fun!

Children in Worship: 4 years old thru 1st Grade

After the children’s message during both worship services, children are invited to participate in Children in Worship. This program is a very special place where children can come to encounter God, be still with God, listen to and nurture their spiritual life. CIW is formed to help children learn how to follow along in worship and prepare them for when they attend “big church” with their parents.

Safe Place Policy

Unity is a Safe Place for all of God’s children. Anyone interested in volunteering with children and youth at Unity is required to complete a Volunteer application, which authorizes us to complete a background check, and to attend Safe Place Training. Training is offered for new volunteers on a regular basis.
