Confirmation
Confirmation is a time for eighth graders to confirm their baptismal vows, explore their faith and claim it as their own, deepen their relationship with God and discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and part of the Presbyterian tradition. Each youth is partnered with a Confirmation Sponsor, an adult church member outside of their family, with whom they can share their faith and questions. Confirmation will help your youth understand what that means and give him/her the tools and inspiration to express his/her personal faith.
Confirmands participate in a year-long Confirmation class that meets on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour. This year long class is designed for 8th graders to study the Bible, sacraments, the church, the Trinity, worship, church history, and Reformed & Presbyterian Theology using Big God, Big Questions Curriculum. In addition to these classes, the year includes visiting other faith communities, monthly breakfast with their mentors, Day Retreat to Bethelwoods Camp and Conference Center, and writing a personal statement of faith.

Confirmation Retreat:
Friday September 26th – Sunday September 28th, 2025 at CROSS Missions in Charlotte!
Confirmation Banquet:
Monday, March 2nd, 2026 at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall
Confirmation Sunday:
Sunday, March 8th at 11am worship
