Scripture – Psalm 29:9-11

9 The voice of the Lord causes the oaks to whirl

    and strips the forest bare,

    and in his temple all say, “Glory!”

10 The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;

    the Lord sits enthroned as king forever.

11 May the Lord give strength to his people!

    May the Lord bless his people with peace!

Prayer Focus: Happy New Year! May we begin this new year with praise for the Lord continues to be ruler of the heavens and the earth. Throughout this week we have read the psalm’s descriptions of the Lord. These final verses turn to our requests. May the Lord give strength to God’s people. May the Lord bless the people with peace.
