7 The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire.

8 The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;

    the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. 

Prayer Focus: Transformation is not always simple and easy. To change, even from one year to the next, can be difficult. The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire and shakes the wilderness. May the fire of the Lord burn away all that needs to be left behind. May the voice of the Lord shake you free from memories that draw you back instead of ground you for the future. Give thanks that the Lord speaks to you today.
