Then Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching people.”
11 When they had brought their boats to shore, they left everything and followed him.
Prayer Focus: Jesus senses that Simon is afraid. How often does fear prevent us from going deep with Jesus? How often does fear block us from a real conversation with someone at church about what is going on in our lives? How often does fear keep us from reaching out and connecting with our neighbors? Pray that you might hear Jesus’ words to Simon addressed to you today: “Do not be afraid.” Big things are in store for you as you trust, believe, and follow him.
