Scripture – 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

11 To this end we always pray for you, asking that our God will make you worthy of his call and will fulfill by his power every good resolve and work of faith,

12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer Focus: Following yesterday’s verses, our passage ends with a prayer for the Thessalonians. Remember on Wednesday, this text began with a prayer of thanksgiving and here it ends with a prayer that God will make us worthy of his call. All this is so that the name of Jesus Christ might be glorified. Give thanks for the saints today – both living and dead. Give glory to the Lord according to the grace in which we stand. Pray that God will make us worthy of his call.
