Scripture – Psalm 31:5

5 Into your hand I commit my spirit;
    you have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God.

Prayer Focus: As the psalmist seeks refuge in the Lord, it is not just a physical longing. Seeking refuge is also a spiritual one. The psalmist commits their spirit into the Lord’s hand. This is not a foolish commitment, but one based on the redemptive acts of a faithful God in the past. Think about the ways God has provided refuge, safety, and shelter for you in the past. Do you trust that God will continue to do that for you today and in the future? Pray that you might commit your spirit into the Lord’s hand today.
