Scripture – Psalm 31:3-5

3 You are indeed my rock and my fortress;
    for your name’s sake lead me and guide me;

4 take me out of the net that is hidden for me,
    for you are my refuge.

Prayer Focus: The psalmist continues to lift up various images to explore the Lord as a “refuge.” A refuge is to be safe and sheltered. A refugee is one who seeks safety and shelter. One may be a momentary refugee (for example if you are caught outside in a rainstorm and run for shelter) or one might become a refugee in moving to a new community in an attempt to escape danger. Pray for all those who feel the need to seek refuge today. Pray that you might find refuge in the Lord. Pray that you might find a way to provide safety and shelter to those who are seeking it today.
