Scripture – Psalm 31:1-2

1 In you, O Lord, I seek refuge;
    do not let me ever be put to shame;\
    in your righteousness deliver me.

2 Incline your ear to me;
    rescue me speedily.
Be a rock of refuge for me,
    a strong fortress to save me.

Prayer Focus: As we move to our second text for this week, Psalm 31, we continue to think about the relationship between faith and “stones.” The psalmist prays that the Lord will be a rock of refuge, a strong fortress. Where do you go when you need support in a difficult moment? What provides you with protection in a moment where you need to hide? Is it God? Pray that you might pause for a moment today to just rest in God’s presence and grace. Ask God to be a rock of refuge for you today.
