Scripture – Ephesians 1:13-14

13 In him you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and had believed in him, were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit;

14 this is the pledge of our inheritance toward redemption as God’s own people, to the praise of his glory.

Prayer Focus: Adoption as a child of God, chosen in Christ, the revelation of God’s intention to gather up all things in Christ – could all of this be true? Absolutely! Paul has no doubt. The pledge or confirmation of this gospel is the gift of the Holy Spirit. Rejoice in the gift of the Holy Spirit to you and to the church today. Pray that you might live with faith, hope, and confidence as we join our voices in praise of God’s glory in worship.
