5 Listen, my beloved brothers and sisters. Has not God chosen the poor in the world to be rich in faith and to be heirs of the kingdom that he has promised to those who love him? 

Prayer Focus: Throughout scripture God pays attention to the poor, the orphan, the widow.  God lifts up those who are most vulnerable, those who have become invisible to others.  This week, pay attention to who is not in the room.  Who do you not see in the places that you frequent?  Who do you pass by as you go about your week?  Practice paying attention to the people around you.  Practice looking for those who are most vulnerable, and pray for God’s loving vision as you do this.
