Prayer Focus: Our key verb this week in our Annual Vision of Ministry is “deepening.” Jesus tells Simon to put out into the deep water and let down his nets for a catch. Teaching the crowds can be done from the shallow water. To put down your nets for a catch, you need to be in the deep water. Where are you on the surface with your faith and your relationship with Jesus? Where are you longing for something deeper with your neighbors? Pray that you might go into the deep water with Jesus today. Pray for those deep and life-giving connections that only Christ can provide.
