Scripture – 1 Thessalonians 2:13
13 We also constantly give thanks to God for this, that when you received the word of God that you heard from us you accepted it not as a human word but as what it really is, God’s word, which is also at work in you believers.
Prayer Focus: What is the difference between a human word and God’s word? The human words that we speak are often true, but they are always marked by self-interest and sin. As Paul describes God’s word, it is trustworthy and true, it is at work in the life of the believer in ways that lead to faith, hope, and love, and it can be accepted. You can choose which word will guide your life! Pray that you will accept the word of God and it will be at work in you and your life today.
