Scripture – Matthew 24:32-33

32 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near.

33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.

Prayer Focus: A few weeks ago, we reflected on similar verses from the Gospel according to Luke as Jesus indicated trying to decipher the signs was difficult. And yet, we keep looking and seeking to understand. Jesus gives us the fig tree as an illustration. There is a natural pattern to things. Notice that the fig tree illustration here points toward new life and growth. What signs do you see of new life and growth, even and especially during this week of Thanksgiving and in anticipation of Advent?
