5 Joshua said to them, “Pass on before the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan, and each of you take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites,
Prayer Focus: Each of these twelve men is to pick up a stone from the bottom of the river. And they are not just pebbles, these are stones so large that they must be carried on one’s shoulder. Twelve stones, one for each tribe of Israel. This seems like an odd request. Pray that you might say yes to an odd request from the Lord today. Pray that you might be willing to pick up a stone from the riverbed and carry it with you today.
