Scripture – Matthew 21:4-5

4 This took place to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet:

5 “Tell the daughter of Zion,
Look, your king is coming to you,
    humble and mounted on a donkey,
        and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”

Prayer Focus: Jesus does not enter Jerusalem with his own brand-new plan or show. Instead, this is to fulfill a prophecy from Zechariah about the coming king. Instead of a white horse, leading an army, Jesus draws on this prophecy to transform our vision. The king comes to you, humble and mounted on a donkey. When you think about the “king” you want to lead the church, the nation, and the world is this the picture in your mind? Pray that your king might be the same one who arrived in Jerusalem so many years ago.
