Scripture – 1 Corinthians 1:8-9

8 He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you may be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the partnership of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Prayer Focus: God is faithful. God is trustworthy. Paul is convinced that if God says or promises something, that God will actually do it. Here Paul tells the Corinthians that God will continue to strengthen them in the faith so that they might be blameless (or perhaps we’d better understand this as “considered blameless in Christ”) when Jesus returns to set all things right because God has made us “partners” with Christ. What would it look like if you saw everything you did today as done in partnership with Jesus? Pray that you might live intentionally in partnership with Jesus Christ our Lord today.
