Scripture – 1 Peter 2:7-8

7 This honor, then, is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe,
“The stone that the builders rejected
    has become the very head of the corner,”

8 and
“A stone that makes them stumble
    and a rock that makes them fall.”
They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.

Prayer Focus: How do you know that a stone is precious? You have to believe it is. Have you ever walked along the beach with a child who picked up a perfectly ordinary stone or shell, but when they gave it to you it was as if they had discovered the greatest treasure the world has ever known? Don’t reject the stone that has been given to you. It has become the very head of the corner. It is precious! You are precious! Think about your life today. Pay attention to Jesus, so that you do not to trip over him!
