Scripture – Lamentations 3:20 – My soul continually thinks of it and is bowed down within me. 

Prayer Focus:  In Hebrew, the word for “soul” here literally means the “life” of the person.  This verse means that the writer’s whole life is occupied with sorrow and bowed down from the weight of it all.  When something is not right, it weighs on us.  Mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.  There is not a single part of our being that does not feel the burden of a difficult situation.  Take some time today to listen to your body.  Where in your body, mind, or spirit, are you holding tension and discomfort?  If you can, try to name what it is that is weighing on you, and then do something that will help relieve that burden.
