Tuesday, March 21: Scripture – Matthew 14:23-24
23 And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone,
24 but by this time the boat, battered by the waves, was far from the land, for the wind was against them.
Prayer Focus: Jesus spends some time alone in prayer. The boat has gone ahead, but it has not yet reached the other side. The wind and the waves are against it, so still they are far from land. Take time to pray, as Jesus prayed this week. Take time to consider the winds and the waves. Jesus has sent the disciples ahead, but it does not seem that they can reach their destination without him. Pray for wisdom on your journey today. Wait for Jesus.
