22 Immediately he made the disciples get into a boat and go on ahead to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds.
Prayer Focus: The final week of our Lenten and Stewardship series brings us to a New Testament text from the Gospel according to Matthew. Jesus and the disciples are in Galilee, teaching and preaching to a large crowd. While he dismissed the crowds, Jesus made the disciples get into a boat and go on ahead to the other side. The disciples must have found this most strange: How is Jesus going to join them if they’ve taken the boat ahead? And yet, they go. Jesus put the disciples in the boat. Pray that you might remember that you are in the boat with the other disciples that Jesus has put there. Give thanks for those in the boat with you at Unity Presbyterian Church.
