Scripture – Luke 24:15-17

15 While they were talking and discussing, Jesus himself came near and went with them, 16 but their eyes were kept from recognizing him. 17 And he said to them, “What are you discussing with each other while you walk along?” They stood still, looking sad.

Prayer Focus: Jesus appears to these disciples and they do not recognize him. Jesus asks them a question and they still do not recognize him. In fact, their reaction is to look sad. Sometimes I think we miss Jesus because we are busy and committed to other things. Sometimes I think we fail to embrace the good news and find ourselves in a spiral of discouragement and despair. Pray that you might see Jesus come alongside you today, especially if you’re discouraged.
