Scripture – Matthew 18:28-29

29 “But that same slave, as he went out, came upon one of his fellow slaves who owed him a hundred denarii, and seizing him by the throat he said, ‘Pay what you owe.’ 29 Then his fellow slave fell down and pleaded with him, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you.’”

Prayer Focus: If the threat of being sold was a mirror held in front of this slave’s face, verses 28-29 are when he walks away from that mirror. He forgets his reflection as soon as he isn’t in front of it. How quickly the lord’s great mercy and grace for his life have been forgotten. How quickly do many of us look for the speck in other people’s eyes before we are willing to look for the log in our own. Pray today that you might not forget the grace and mercy God has shown you in your life.
