12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire, and after the fire a sound of sheer silence.
Prayer Focus: How often do we allow ourselves to sit in silence? In today’s constant hum of noise its rare to stumble upon silence, if we want it, we have to seek it out. In a world that rages around us with headlines and twitter feeds full of earthquakes and fires, silence can be a gift. Silence can be where we encounter the voice of God trying to speak to us. Try to create some silent space for yourself sometime this week and see how you feel when you take a break from all the noise.
