Sunday, November 28: Scripture – Genesis 1:4-5
4 And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
Prayer Focus: Light and darkness are separated, and yet intertwined. A day does not exist without both light and darkness, without both day and night. In fact, in the tradition of this text, the evening and the night come before the morning and the day. But do not forget that the evening and the night return again. Give thanks today for both light and darkness and the blessings that God brings to us in both.
