Saturday, August 6: Scripture – Genesis 15:2-3
2 But Abram said, “O Lord God, what will you give me, for I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”
3 And Abram said, “You have given me no offspring, so a slave born in my house is to be my heir.”
Prayer Focus: Abram is getting tired of waiting. God promised children, but Abram and Sari have no children. His only heir is a servant. Abram puts the responsibility for the lack of a child squarely in God’s hands: “You have given me no offspring.” Are you able to be that honest with God in your prayers? Are you able to really share your frustrations and the things you struggle to understand? Be honest in your prayers today. God will hear you.
