Monday, March 27: Scripture – Psalm 118:19-20
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness,
that I may enter through them
and give thanks to the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord;
the righteous shall enter through it.
Prayer Focus: This morning we shift our focus to the approach of the final week of Jesus’ earthly life in Jerusalem. On Sunday we will celebrate Palm Sunday as Jesus enters the holy city in triumph. The words of Psalm 118 are often used in anticipation of a royal entry to Jerusalem and so we find the crowd picks them up when Jesus arrives. The king commands the gates of the city be opened so that he can enter. As Jesus enters your heart and life today, what do you need to open to him? Pray that even the place you want to keep locked away, that you might open to him today.
