Scripture – Luke 15:11-12

11 Then Jesus said, “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the wealth that will belong to me.’ So he divided his assets between them.   

Prayer Focus: This week we turn to the third story that Jesus tells in Luke 15 about being lost and found. There was a man who had two sons and the younger asks for his portion of the inheritance now. Nothing like telling your dad, “I wish you were dead so I can have what’s coming to me now.” But apparently the father did not object and, somewhat surprisingly, he divides his assets between both of his sons. Both boys get their inheritance now. As we begin this week that concludes with Stewardship Commitment Sunday, pray about what you desire from God. What is your request of the Lord today?
