Scripture – Psalm 119:119-120 

119 All the wicked of the earth I count as dross; 

    therefore I love your decrees. 

120 My flesh trembles for fear of you, 

    and I am afraid of your judgments. 

Prayer Focus: It may initially seem odd in the midst of our series “The Kingdom of Heaven is like …” to spend several days with verses from Psalm 119. And yet, the parables we will think about on Sunday are about a pearl and a treasure – both things of great value. Psalm 119 treats God’s law as something of great value. As the psalmist writes, “all the wicked of the earth I count as dross, therefore I love your decrees.” Begin to think and pray about what you consider worthless (dross) and what you value in life. What do you love?
