Scripture – Matthew 4:12

12 Now when Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew to Galilee.

Prayer Focus: We return this week to the Gospel according to Matthew. After Jesus’ baptism he spends time in the wilderness, fasting for forty days and being tested by the devil. Without significant transition from the wilderness temptations to our verse for today, we hear that after Jesus heard that John the Baptizer had been arrested, he withdrew to Galilee. The transition is now complete from John to Jesus. Pray that you might see Jesus at work today. If you have longed to see him, pray for eyes to see Christ today.
