Friday, January 15: Scripture – 1 Samuel 3:8
8 The Lord called Samuel again, a third time. And he got up and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” Then Eli perceived that the Lord was calling the boy.
Prayer Focus: The third time the Lord calls Samuel and Samuel runs to Eli, the light bulb finally goes off for Eli. Eli perceived that the Lord was calling the boy. We need an Eli in our life to help us recognize and understand when the Lord calls. Who has been an Eli for you? Can you be an Eli for someone else who is struggling to hear and respond to God’s call? Give thanks today for someone who has been an Eli for you and let them know you did so.
