Friday, January 14: Scripture – John 2:8
8 He said to them, “Now draw some out, and take it to the chief steward.” So they took it.
Prayer Focus: Sometimes when you read a text verse by verse as we do each day with these devotions you discover something new, even though it had been there all along. The servants filled the water jars to the brim with water. Now Jesus tells them “draw some out.” He doesn’t tell them what this “some” is. I suspect they think it is still water. Jesus does not tell them that a miracle has occurred. Again, they are just following what Jesus tells them to do. Pray that you might draw “some” out of the water jars today. Before you take it to the chief steward, look closely. There just might be a miracle.
