42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
Prayer Focus: The three thousand persons who joined the church began doing some quite ordinary things. They studied the scriptures, they spent time together, they worshipped and had communion, and they prayed. This is still the life of the church today. As our church mission statement says, “Worship, Nurture, and Service.” Pray that you might embrace the historic practices of faith today.
