Friday, June 3: Scripture – Acts 2:12-15
12 All were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “What does this mean?”
13 But others sneered and said, “They are filled with new wine.”
14 But Peter, standing with the eleven, raised his voice and addressed them, “Fellow Jews and all who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen to what I say.
15 Indeed, these are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only nine o’clock in the morning.”
Prayer Focus: Amazed and perplexed. How often do we allow ourselves to be amazed by anything without letting our cynicism convince us our experience is not genuine? Sometimes we take ourselves too seriously to recognize amazing things happening in our midst, and we risk missing the extraordinary actions of God. Pray that you might allow yourself to be amazed and astonished at all that God is doing around you.
