Scripture – Luke 4:16a

16 When he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, as was his custom.

Prayer Focus: The response to God’s invitation to new life in Christ that we’ll focus on this coming Sunday is to be and become a community of “Witnessing and Engaging.” The first scripture we will consider is Jesus’ visit to his hometown of Nazareth. He “went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, as was his custom.” Jesus made it a habit to join with his community for worship and study. Worship and Faith Formation every week? Is that your habit? This coming Sunday we will begin faith formation classes and opportunities for all ages. It’s a great time to begin some new habits and customs. Pray that God will help you stay faithful to your habits of faith or commit to new habits this week.
