Scripture – Luke 13:29-30

29 Then people will come from east and west, from north and south, and take their places at the banquet in the kingdom of God. 30 Indeed, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.”

Prayer Focus: The parable ends with a reminder that the invitation is for everyone. People will come from the east and the west, the north and the south, and find their places at the banquet in the kingdom of God. May we seek to encounter Christ more than find a seat at the head of the table. May our experience of word, sacrament, faith formation, and fellowship draw us closer to Christ and to one another.
