Scripture – Luke 14:21

21 So the slave returned and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and said to his slave, ‘Go out at once into the streets and lanes of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.’   

Prayer Focus: The slave tells the master that the original guests have come up with some really bad excuses and are no longer coming. So the owner of the house sends the slave back out to bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame. The host of this banquet is still going to have a banquet. So, now those who are not just invited, but “brought in,” are those who find themselves in need. They cannot repay this invitation. They are simply invited. There is a place for them. There is a place for you. You are welcome. How can you make others welcome at the Lord’s table?
