Scripture – Matthew 25:13

13 Keep awake, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.

Prayer Focus: The interpretation of the parable is to keep awake. This seems to be an odd lesson as all of the young women fell asleep. The problem was not their sleeping, it was the failure to prepare for the delay. We do not know the day nor the hour, but we can always be prepared. As we conclude this summer series, what have you discovered about the kingdom of heaven that sets it as an alternative to the kingdoms of the world? What will help you be prepared for participating in the kingdom here and now? What hope do you have for the kingdom of heaven that will be?
