Scripture – Joel 2:26

26 You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied

    and praise the name of the Lord your God,

    who has dealt wondrously with you.

And my people shall never again be put to shame.

Prayer Focus: The verb tenses as we continue through this text from Joel have shifted to the future. The language of “shall” points us forward to the future God is preparing and promising. You “shall” eat in plenty and praise the name of the Lord. You “shall never again” be put to shame. Pray that you might have eyes to see what God is preparing for you and for the church. Pray that you might have faith and trust that the “shalls” promised will indeed come to pass.
