Unity has been working with Family Promise of York County for many years. “Family Promise provides displaced families with a place to stay while giving them the tools to meet life’s challenges Family Promise provides displaced families with a place to stay while giving them the tools to develop long-term self-sufficiency, independence, and success. Every six weeks we host families at Unity for a week. Each evening, we need two volunteers to feed the families and two to spend the night with them. We also need volunteers to grocery shop, set up and take down the guest sleeping areas, and do laundry after our hosting week.
