The Session has called a brief Congregational Meeting on Sunday, July 7th, following the 10:00 AM Worship Service to hear and act on a report from the Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee intends to nominate Lauren Mobley to fill an open place as a Ruling Elder in the Class of 2025. Lauren was born in Charlotte, grew up outside Dallas, TX, went to college in Missouri and lived in a handful of other places before following her parents back to her native Carolinas. She owns the Wild Birds Unlimited in Rock Hill and in Indian Land, is a South Carolina Master Naturalist, York County Master Gardener, and sings in the York County Choral Society (where she is also a board member). Lauren joined Unity when she moved to Rock Hill 12 years ago. She sings in the Chancel Choir and serves on the Endowment Board. She has served as a Deacon, including a year as moderator of the Diaconate, on the Worship & Music committee, on the Communion prep team, VBS music team, Mission Camp volunteer, Youth Mission Trip chaperone, and as a cookie baker. She has been thoroughly blessed by her family at Unity and is grateful for the opportunity to further serve this family.
