8 Therefore whoever rejects this rejects not human authority but God, who also gives his Holy Spirit to you.
Prayer Focus: Paul’s claim is that if the Thessalonians reject the call to a life of holiness, they are not rejecting his authority as an apostle. They are rejecting the authority of God who gives us the ability to live holy lives through the gift of the Holy Spirit.
