Prayer Focus: The bridegroom was delayed. All of them became drowsy and slept. The problem is not that the young women fell asleep. The problem results from the unexpected delay. We’ve talked before about the challenge of delay to faithfulness and Christian practice. We can keep up our faithful practice for a day or for a week or even for a season. The real challenge comes with an unexpected delay. Pray that you might have patience and endurance to remain faithful no matter how long the delay might be.
