15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
Prayer Focus: There is a tension in Revelation that says if you’re going to stand up and stand out as a Christian then you’ll be distinct from those who are living lives of accommodation to the empire. Worship in the empire usually took the form of sorcery, sexual immorality, death, idolatry, and falsehood. So, the distinction made here is that those who worship other things and gods are excluded from the new heaven and earth which is God’s kingdom fully established on the earth. Pray that you might set aside your own idols and worship the Lord today.
