Prayer Focus: Jesus is trying to focus Nicodemus on the spiritual conversation. Nicodemus is having a hard time switching his brain from the literal details of rebirth, to the spiritual space that Jesus is in. And if that is difficult for Nicodemus as he is standing in front of Jesus himself, how much harder is it for us? It can be challenging to focus our minds on the spiritual, especially throughout a busy week of work, school, meetings, and obligations. Take some time this week to focus on the spiritual. Set aside special prayer time, go on a walk, and listen to what you hear in creation, meditate, read scripture. Find something this week that reconnects you with Christ’s presence.
