Wednesday, August 23: Scripture – Matthew 16:15-16
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Prayer Focus: Jesus turns the question from public opinion to the personal. Who do you say that I am? It’s still the essential question of faith. Who do you say that Jesus is? Simon Peter jumps up with the right answer – You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God! Pray for your answer today. Don’t make it a quick answer that just repeats words you think you are supposed to say. Pray, think, reflect, and pray some more. Who do you say that Jesus is?
