Tuesday, September 20: Scripture – Luke 16:20-21
20 And at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores,
21 who longed to satisfy his hunger with what fell from the rich man’s table; even the dogs would come and lick his sores.
Prayer Focus: The contrast between the poor man, Lazarus, and the rich man from yesterday is stark. While the rich man is dressed in purple and fine linen, the poor man is covered with sores and the saliva of dogs. While the rich man reclines at a table to feast every day, the poor man longs to satisfy his hunger with crumbs from the table. Are we aware of the true disparities that wealth and poverty cause in our world today? Pray that you have eyes to see and ears to hear what God is seeking to reveal to you today.
