Tuesday, October 4: Scripture – 2 Kings 5:2-3

2 Now the Arameans on one of their raids had taken a young girl captive from the land of Israel, and she served Naaman’s wife.

3 She said to her mistress, “If only my lord were with the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his skin disease.”

Prayer Focus: The Arameans were enemies of Israel and on a raid they had taken an Israelite girl captive. Now she serves Naaman’s wife.  Knowing of Naaman’s disease she utters a declaration that the prophet in Samaria could cure Naaman’s skin disease. What gave her this hope? Why did she think the prophet would even consider healing this military enemy of Israel? Pray that you might know a hope beyond knowledge today. Especially pray for a hope that brings blessings to someone unexpected.
