2 Thus says the Lord:
The people who survived the sword
found grace in the wilderness;
when Israel sought for rest,
3 the Lord appeared to him from far away.
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.
Prayer Focus: Jeremiah is speaking to those who have been through a great ordeal. They have survived a life-threatening event and found grace in the wilderness. To those traumatized and uncertain, the Lord reaffirms, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” As we like to say at Unity, there is nothing you can do to make God love you any more and nothing you can do to make God love you ever less. Pray that you might really believe that you are loved by God today. You are loved!
